According to Web-Holidays.com, today is American Zoo Day. It celebrates the opening of the Philadelphia Zoo which is the first zoo in America. It opened on July 1, 1874. It was supposed to open in 1859 but they couldn't because of the Civil War.

I went to the Philadelphia Zoo's website and learned that their zoo is set up differently. They have something called Zoo360. They have cages that go above and around walkways so people can get a different look at the animals. Here's their video explaning that.
This website suggested that we celebrate American Zoo Day by checking out the Association of Zoos and Aquariums's YouTube playlist.
The AZA's YouTube page has a nice selection of zoos and aquariums that have YouTube channels that you can subscribe to.
