April 3rd - not much of a party

So today is supposed to be World Party Day.

But we're stuck at home. So we tried to find a reason to celebrate April 3rd. We found out there some computer related reasons to like April 3rd.
The first portable computer was available to public on April 3, 1981. Here's a picture of it from Wikipedia.

It weighed 24.5 pounds and cost $1,795. Why is the screen so small?!?! How did anyone see anything?!?!
We also learned that the first iPad was available in the USA on April 3, 2010. Almost a month before I was born!

I guess we can celebrate that we can carry around an iPad instead of that heavy, enormous computer.
I'm so proud of you for finding reasons to celebrate... I took World Party Day in a slightly different direction. I started making a pinata, made a party music playlist, designed a treasure hunt, and baked cookies :) I haven't had the party yet, but that's okay! Happy National Fun Day...
