Every year, my mom tries to take me to Children's Youth Day at the state capitol. There's entertainment, games and booths. We have to fill out activity cards and then we can get a prize at the capitol. Last year, I helped my brother get a stuffed whale. It's one of his favorite toys. I usually make mini flower arrangements, origami, and play some tennis or golf. We always try to visit my dad's former co-workers at the Olelo production area.
This year, because of the coronavirus, Children's Youth Day went virtual.

It was pretty cool. We logged in and it looked like we entered a convention center. You could click on an auditorium link and watch live or recorded performances. Some of the live performances had you connect in with Zoom.

There was an exhibitor's area. You could scroll through booths for places like MacDonalds, a radio station, Mission Houses Museum and Department of Health.

You could create a "swag bag" by collecting all of the documents the booths had. There were a lot of coloring and activity books. You could even collect the links of videos that the booths had. We collected some recipes from HMSA, a link to a website called Storyberries that had recordings of people reading books, and instructions on how to make a Jacob's ladder. I really want to make that.

We also got points for visiting things throughout the event. The person with the most points would win a Google Chromebook. I'm sad we didn't get it but the winning person had something like 7,000 points. I think we only had about 4,000. Bu we still manages to win a hydroflask from Kamaaina Kids. We have to go pick it up from Kailua some time this week.
