According to NationalToday.com, Day of the Seafarer is a day to thank anyone who has a job that deals with the ocean like sea captains, fishermen, marine biologists and the Coast Guard.
The International Maritime Organization said this year's theme is "Seafarers are Key Workers." They say seafarers are front-line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic because they help transport food, medicines and medical supplies. It also said some seafarers have been out at sea for months because of the COVID-19 crisis. Travel restrictions have kept them from returning home.
Today is also Global Beatles Day. According to the Global Beatles Day website, today is a "love letter from the world - to The Beatles."

It says it's a day to honor them for bringing messages of peace and love through their music. June 25 is the date chosen to celebrate them because on June 25, 1967 they performed their song "All You Need is Love" on the first ever live global television link.
So in honor of Global Beatles Day, I'm sharing a few Beatles songs that I know. My mom used to play these in the car or for me to go to bed when I was younger.
