I feel a little less worried now. They announced that the first four weeks of school are now going to be all online. Yay! I can do distance learning and still be with my friends.

My mom and I were listening to the news conference on the radio as we were going to pick up my dad from work.
We were wondering if or when they would decide to do this since they were starting to shut other things down again.
But it was a little confusing too because they said we still have to go to school in person for the first few days so we can learn how to do distance learning? This doesn't make sense to me.

I also heard that the 100% distance learning rule is only for Oahu schools. I hope they change their minds so that everyone can be safe.
Manoa School sent an email last night, before they made this announcement about distance learning, about another WebEx meeting next week. In the email, they included answers to questions from the last WebEx meeting. A lot of people asked questions about distance learning. The answers again were different from what they told my mom. Sigh... Hopefully we can get better answers at the meeting in case we need to choose Acellus later if Manoa School goes back to face to face when we're still not comfortable with it.
Please stay safe. Thinking of you too!
I’m really happy and relieved for you— I thought of you right away when I heard the news! I told you you weren’t the only one who was worried :) I’m also glad that they made an island-specific decision. Each island is pretty different in its circumstances and needs. I already had small groups of students, in person, for 4 days last week.... Can you believe that?! Hopefully we’re doing what we need to do to keep everyone safe and healthy 🙏🏽
