Found something new to watch on YouTube

There is a series on YouTube called Draw-Off: Animator Vs. Cartoonist.

I'm addicted. They pair artists up and have them draw popular characters from memory. I think that's interesting because my dad always tells me I should draw things from memory or from my own imagination rather than looking at something and copying it.

It's really fun to watch them draw. They also talk about how they draw so I think it's been useful to watch to improve my drawings.

Sometimes they have fun challenges like this one where they have to draw the other person as a Marvel character. It's really interesting to see the artists' different styles.

Sometimes they do mashups where they have to draw a character that's a combination of two characters.

I think I'm going to try this. I think it will force me to use my imagination and come up with something original.
