Goodbye 4th grade

Writer's picture: PaigePaige

Today was our last day of school. I'm actually going to miss checking in on our class website everyday. I had fun with virtual 4th grade.

Everyday had a reason to celebrate. I used a lot of these for my blog topics.

Went on virtual field trips.

We had different options for math and reading. I was sooooooo happy we could do things other than iReady!!! (But my mom still made me do it sometimes.)

We got to do projects on topics we like and try to learn more about it. I loved that part of my actual homework was to watch anime and draw and practice skateboarding.

And our big project, the newspaper.

It was fun putting together stories. I really liked getting emails from people. At first, I was scared to email people I didn't know but I started to like it more when I got responses. I got responses from people and places I didn't expect. I got responses from the artist of the YouTube channel Andymation and the editor of the Antarctic Sun! Here's the link to our 4-20 Class Chronicles.

A little sad I didn't get to do a story I was working on. I wrote to a school in Pennsylvania that's also called Manoa School. The 4th grade teachers wrote back saying they would have their students write back to me but I haven't gotten anything yet.

I started this blog more than two months ago just to reply to Ms. Carr's question about how we've been keeping ourselves busy at home. This blog has become more of a daily journal for me so even though school's ended I think I'll keep blogging.

Going to miss 4th grade. Going to miss Ms. Carr. Don't want to go to 5th grade...yet. Hopefully I'll still be able to keep in touch with everyone over the summer. Maybe you'll read about it here on my blog.
