So the second day of 5th grade went a little better. Still a little confused about where all our assignments are and when everything is due. One thing I had to do today was create an account in BrainPop and do one assignment. The assignment was on Dr. Fauci.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
The lesson had a video interview with Dr. Fauci. I learned that he is one of the country's top advisors on the coronavirus. He's been helping the government with health since the 1980s. He has been the advisor to the president since Ronald Reagan.
It was really cool because Dr. Fauci talked about how kids can play an important role in helping to stop spread the of the coronavirus. he said kids can wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash our hands. He also said that parents will listen to their kids so they can help encourage their parents to do the same thing.
He said that he thinks we'll have a vaccine around the end of the year. And if it's safe, we should all get the vaccine.
He said that recently a lot of people have been anti-science and that's really dangerous.
Dr. Fauci said what gives him hope is the resiliency of the American spirit.
