Learning about Okinawa's Churaumi Aquarium

I decided I needed a break and found something fun to write about. I went looking for another zoo or aquarium to explore. My mom told me about a really cool aquarium in Okinawa that has a whale shark.

The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It's raised several whale sharks! The aquarium has a lot of different ways to see the whale sharks. You could see them from a big a window.

They also have an Aqua Room where the sharks could swim right above you.

You can even see them from the top of the tank.

But I think this is the best. You can see them while you eat a snack at their cafe.

Sadly their website doesn't have any live cams or virtual tours. But it does have this really great encyclopedia of the animals that they have there.

I did find a nice YouTube video that gave a short tour of the aquarium.

I hope I get to go there someday. My grandma told me there have been a lot of COVID-19 cases there. She's sad. She was hoping to go and visit Okinawa this year.
