I was going to give an update about the hurricane today but nothing's really happened so I decided to look up what's being celebrated today.
On July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed. According to NationalDayCalendar.com, the ADA protects people with disabilities from discrimination at work and gives them access to services that can help them.

The sign language interpreters we have been seeing when the state leaders have their news meetings on TV is an ADA requirement so that people who are deaf can also get the information.
You sometimes see signs in public areas that have braille on it. That's also an ADA requirement so the signs can also help blind people.
Because of the ADA, public events need to have spaces where people in wheelchairs can sit. Sometimes we take my aunty to concerts and I get to sit next to her in a really good seat. It's called a companion seat and they usually only allow one companion seat per handicap stall so my mom lets me sit next to aunty and she sits someplace else where she can see us.
The following aren't ADA required things but they are cool things that helped people with disabilities. I found these on a website called BoredPanda.com. These are just a few that I liked.
The Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy has versions of paintings so that blind visitors can also enjoy it as well.

I thought this was a nice idea.

I'd ride this with my aunty. I think she'd like it. It's a swing for wheelchairs.

In Singapore, you can get a card that you tap on the crosswalk button so it gives you extra time to cross. I think my grandma could use this.
