National Eat What You Want Day

If I could, these are the top five things I would eat today on National Eat What You Want Day.

Pizza! I loooooove pepperoni pizza. My perfect pizza would be thin crust, not too much cheese, not a lot of crust and a whole lot of pepperoni. The more pepperoni the better!

Fun pizza fact: America's first pizza place was called Lombardi's in New York. It first started selling pizza in 1905. According to this article, it's still selling pizza today.

Chocolate! I can eat Hershey Kisses all day. I also like chocolate ice cream.

Fun chocolate fact: According to this article chocolate is a vegetable. Yay! My mom can stop bugging me about eating more vegetables.

Miso soup! I can just eat this with rice for dinner. But it can't have anything but the soup and maybe some tofu. My grandma makes it exactly the way I want it. If we order it at a restaurant I have my mom eat all the extra stuff.

Fun miso fact: According to this article miso is healthy and there's an old Japanese saying that says "No need of a doctor with some miso". Woo hoo! Another win for me. I didn't know I was actually eating healthy!

Ramen! One of my favorite ramens is this shoyu ramen from Goma Tei at Kahala Mall. But I give the pork and the vegetables to my dad. I also like the ramen for Nishi Mon Cho at Manoa Marketplace. I used to like going there because Chloe L.'s parents owned it and I would sometimes see her there and could talk to her while we waited for our food. I don't think they own the restaurant anymore. I also like the ramen packs that you buy from the store and make at home.

Fun ramen fact: Japan has TWO ramen museums. One of them is specifically about Cup of Noodles.

I love nori. But it has to be this specific kind. I know a lot of people like the Korean nori packets but I think it's too plain. My grandma buys me this nori so I can take it to school for snack everyday.

Fun nori fact: According to this article nori is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Yay! Another one of my favorite foods is healthy! But the article did say eating too much nori can also be bad.
