National High Five Day?

But we're supposed to be social distancing!

Before we all starting staying home, I would visit my uncle a lot and we have a pretty complex handshake every time we say goodbye that includes a high five. I think that's my favorite high five.

We found a pretty cool high five story online. This was about a math teacher and his students' attempt the do the most high fives in one minute. He high fived 260 students in one minute to beat the record in 2015. The record however was broken in 2016 with 290.

But since we shouldn't be high fiving people right now, how should be we greeting each other. There were a lot of articles with suggestions.

National Geographic had a nice article about cultures around the world that have greetings that don't have people touching. Namaste was one suggestion where people put their hands together and bow slightly to each other.

National Public Radio and CNET had some fun suggestions.

My top three favorites are 1) "Bring out the finger guns and a wink."

2) Jazz Hands!

3) Nod or flick your head in acknowledgment ('sup)

My mom's favorite is Live Long and Prosper. I don't like because I can't do it.
