It's National Teacher Day. The National Education Association listed ways we can thank our teachers this week.

For today, they suggested that we let a teacher in our lives know how much you appreciate them. Since this blog is for my fourth grade class, I'm sending out a BIG MAHALO to our fourth grade teacher Ms. Carr. Thank you for being a really nice teacher and being really easy to talk to. (Also thank you for reading my blog. :-) )
I've had a lot of teachers and I appreciate them all. My preschool teachers, piano teachers, rock band teachers, dance teachers, Japanese teachers, Manoa School teachers, volleyball coaches, softball coaches and Cub Club teachers. I'll see how many of them I can send a thank you note to this week.
For the rest of the week, the National Education Association suggested:
- Wednesday: Ask a teacher, "What I can do to help?"
- Thursday: Post a "TBT" memory of your favorite teacher
- Friday: How has a teacher helped you make it though this week with a little more joy?
Today is also Boys' Day. For Boys' Day, my grandma puts up koinobori outside the house. Koinobori are these fish flags. Koi means carp in Japanese and it is a symbol of strength, courage and success.

This video shows koinobori still flying at Tokyo Dome City even though many things in Japan have been canceled.
This video gives a little lesson about Boys' Day.
And I had to find an origami craft project for Boys Day.
Thanks for the super sweet shoutout, Paige! I love your artwork :)
Your teachers are SO GRATEFUL for YOU right now. Do you know that?! Thanks for being you and for making this the best job in the world <3
