I was a little upset at some of my friends who play Roblox yesterday. I thought they did something that wasn't safe.
A couple of my friends made a video using their Roblox characters and posted it on YouTube. The video showed their Roblox usernames. I didn't think that was safe because now people they don't know can look them up on Roblox. I was mad because, since I'm friends with them on Roblox, random people might look me up too. When you click on someone's profile you can see who they're friends with.
We've already had to deal with a "hacker," though we still think it's one of our friends playing a prank on us. Still, it's got me worried.
I asked them to take the video down since I thought it wasn't safe. They got mad at me because they said they worked hard on the video and said I should mind my own business. I told them this is my business.
My mom said it's unlikely that my account would get hacked because of their video. Our Roblox usernames are public and my account should be secure. But if I don't feel comfortable about it I should separate my account with them.
I told my friends that I'm still their friend. I'm just not comfortable with what they're doing. They can keep posting their video but I'm going to unfriend them on Roblox so my account isn't connected to theirs.
