My aunty who lives in Boston always sends me cool stuff for my birthday. Last year she got me a subscription to Booster Bricks. I get a box each month filled with a new Lego challenge.
This year she got me a Tinker Crate. I finally opened the box today. It's a Spin Art Machine.

The orange box is the box the whole kit came in in the mail. I had to put all the pieces together to make it work.
At first I was a little frustrated because I didn't understand the instructions. I asked my mom for help but she was in the middle of a meeting. She told me that I could do it and that I had figured out more complex instructions before.
She was right. About five or ten minutes after she talked to me I finished putting it together. I prepared the box, connected the wires and attached it to the wheel. And it started spinning. Yay!
I attached a piece of paper on the wheel. When the wheel was spinning I dropped paint onto the sheet. Here's what my spin art looks like.

I also tried the machine with just holding color pencils on the spinning paper. Here's what that looked like.

The box said this was a project about centripetal force, momentum and resistors. I'm super proud that I made the machine by myself and I really like the cool pieces of art I made!
