This is why I need to collect boxes!!!

My parents said I need to stop collecting empty boxes, we don't have enough space. But I saw this article that shows why I need to keep all these boxes.

The article says a Japanese artist named Harukiru takes used packages and turns them into pieces of 3D art. I sooooo totally want to be able to do this. The article says he uses a technique called kirigami. It's a form of origami but you also cut the paper to make the shapes.

I found another article about the artist and it said that he was inspired by a TV show he watched as a kid where they would make toys out of paper and things around the house. Harukiru also says that he tries to "respect the image of the original box as much as possible." This Pringles one is a good of example of that.

These are so creative. Right now, I'm just using my boxes to make houses for my Boo doll.
