Why voting matters

Today is Hawaii's primary election day.

I used to look forward to election day because that meant I got to go to the park while my parents took turns voting. This year is a little different. People are voting by mail so we don't go to the polling place this year. And because of COVID-19, I don't get to go to the park. So with all the fun parts of election day gone, why should I care? I don't get to vote.
Well, this election helps choose who my dad's next boss is so that's one reason I should care.
But I also found this video that says why kids should care about adults voting.
Kids should care BECAUSE we don't have a vote. We need adults to vote for us. To vote for leaders who will care about us.
I’m so proud of you for understanding and promoting this message 🎉🙏🏽
